Shawn Christie and his wife, Amy, founded A Plus Insurance in 1999 in Colorado Springs, CO. As a family-owned insurance brokerage, Shawn leads the company in offering a full range of personal and business insurance products. His mission is to provide quality coverage at affordable prices, meeting the diverse needs of their clients.
EARLY DAYS:
Shawn was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He has had an entrepreneurial spirit from the beginning. He started his own business at the age of 10.
In 1999, he began to work as an insurance broker for one of the first online insurance Brokerage houses.
There he obtained all of his residential and non-residential insurance licenses to sell insurance in 14+ states. In 2000, he set out on his own and began to build a book of business.
EXPANSION:
Through the prompting of his clients, he brought on additional lines of insurance (Auto, Home, Business, etc) and A Plus Insurance was created. Shawn has continued to integrate technology into the company to make business smooth and seamless from both an agent and a client perspective.
He continues to strive to make doing business with A Plus Insurances fast, efficient, and effective as possible for our clients. His agents have served and delivered the highest level of customer service to over 26,000 clients in 16 states.
Fun Facts: Shawn’s hobbies include spending time with his family, working on SEO, taking the time to learn new things, Reading, and catching a nap on the weekends (when time permits). Inspirational figures: Winston Churchill, His Son, and His Beautiful Wife and business partner Amy. (not necessarily in that order)
