Home Insurance: Real Rates From 66 Policies
How much is homeowners insurance? Our clients’ homeowners (HO3) policies average about $2,542 per year — roughly $212 a month — across 66 real policies on our books, most of them written through Progressive Home (ASI). Renters policies run about $12–$30 a month. These are actual sold policies from our agency records, not advertised teaser rates.
Who we write home insurance through
Our largest home carrier is Progressive Home, underwritten by ASI (American Strategic Insurance) — Progressive’s homeowners arm. It is where most of our homeowners policies land, for one main reason: bundling. When your auto policy and home policy sit with Progressive together, the multi-policy discount applies to both sides, and for many of our clients that discount effectively pays for a chunk of the home premium.
We also place home, manufactured home, and renters coverage through Foremost, ePremium, and others when they fit better — we shop it the same way we shop auto.
What our clients actually pay
From our own policy records: homeowners (HO3) policies average about $2,542/year (~$212/month) across 66 policies. Renters policies mostly run $12–$30/month. Motor home and manufactured home policies vary widely with the unit and location — those are worth a call. Your price depends on the home’s age, roof, location, claims history, and credit — which is exactly why we quote it rather than guess.
The bundle math
Bundling auto + home with Progressive/ASI typically knocks a meaningful discount off both policies. One recent example from our records: a Littleton, Colorado client carries Progressive auto at $31/month and a Progressive renters policy at about $10.58/month — the bundle discount helped get both numbers there. Our agents run the bundle and the split-carrier versions side by side and show you both.
How to get a home quote from us
Call 888-445-2793 or start with an online quote. Have your address and rough year-built handy; a home quote usually takes one call. If you already have auto with us, ask for the bundle re-run — it is the fastest savings check we can do.
