SR22 Insurance Ohio: Laws
If your license has been suspended because of a major conviction, you will be required to carry an SR-22 filing for 3-5 years, depending upon the conviction. You will need to carry the State Minimum Liability limits in order to have an SR-22. The SR-22 filing will be reported to the State of Ohio by your insurance provider.

SR22 Insurance Ohio: Need an SR-22 but no vehicle?
In Ohio, you can purchase a Named Operator policy or Non-Owners policy which will cover you for the minimum liability requirements per the state. You will add the SR-22 filing to that policy, which will let the state know you are carrying the required liability limits. The Non Owners policy covers you driving any personal passenger vehicle as long as you do not, or any household members own the vehicle.
